A pan of garage in Upstate New York as we drove past it. This is a perfect example of what most “good” photographers are missing out on. In some ways being a photographer is just following composition and exposure formulas. The vast majority of photographers will look at this and say it’s garbage. At the same time I look at the vast majority of their work as boring and repetitive.
My goal isn’t to impress some pretentious community of non artists. It’s to inspire regular people with a passion for enjoying creativity. I’d much rather inspire someone to take their point and shoot out and realize just how beautiful this planet is, than get a pat on the back from an academic. To each their own though, I shoot because I like it, not for a living so I can do what I want.
